EyeCare America (800-222-3937)is a public service foundation of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Seniors, those with glaucoma or diabetes, and children may be eligible for a referral to one of EyeCare America's 7,500 volunteer ophthalmologists nationwide.

Lions Clubs provide financial assistance for eye care to individuals through local clubs. Services vary from club to club.

Gift of Sight Program may provide free eye care to individuals based on a referral from a local charitable agency such as the American Red Cross, United Way, Boys Club, and YMCA.

Sight for Students (800-290-4964) operates nationally through a network of community partners to provide free eye care to children 18 years of age an younger of low-income working parents who do not qualify for government assistance.

Vision USA (800-766-4466) provides free vision care to uninsured low-income workers and their families
